Type B EDC Plans Rock Wall and Fencing for City Park

An example of the type of rock wall being sourced for the City Park.

Tom Bean’s Type B EDC Board of Directors has decided to fund up to $65,000 to build a rock wall around the new City Park.

The purpose of the wall is to provide a safety barrier between the children playing at the park and the adjacent traffic.  We have chosen a rock wall due to its durability and cosmetic appeal in addition to adding seating for park patrons.

The wall will border the entire south side and roughly half of the west side (south-to-north). To the north, the wall will continue with a short pipe-and-cable fence around a parking area.

(NOTE 06/02/2023 – Due to time constraints, this review has been postponed, possibly til June 12. We will post more when more information is known).

/The City plans to put this item on the upcoming City Council a/genda for Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 6:00 PM. Following a vote, the EDC hopes to start constructing this enhancement to the park as soon as possible.
