Proposed Budget and Tax Rate Public Hearings to be Held

The City of Tom Bean is holding two public hearings to receive community input on the City’s budget. All citizens and interested persons are invited to attend and present their views to the City Council. This notice. affects ONLY our water customers in the following areas: Whispering Oaks St., Canyon Creek Ln., and Cade Creek Ln. Due to LOSS OF WATER PRESSURE, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Tom Bean TX0910008, public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). City to Conduct Smoke Testing week of Aug. 7

The City of Tom Bean will be conducting smoke testing the week of Aug 7, weather permitting. They will be doing different sections daily that week. If you have any questions, please call the Public Works Department at 903-546-6321. For the next few weeks, Utilities Maintenance crews will be conducting a physical survey of the sanitary sewer collection system. This study will involve the opening and inspecting of manholes in the streets and backyard utility easements. Storm Debris Disposal Available at North Well

The City of Tom Bean will be assisting property owners within the city to dispose of storm debris such as trees, limbs, and brush at the North Well located at 303 E. Elliott St. This is for wood debris only. Barricades and signage have been set to assist in finding this location and placement of debris in the correct area. This will be available from now until Sunday, June 25th.
