Notice of Drawing for Place on Ballot

Notice of Drawing for a Place on Ballot – official PDF file Notice is hereby given of a drawing to determine the order in which the names of candidates are to be printed on the ballot for the election to be held on May 4th, 2024 in the City of Tom Bean. The drawing will be held at 2:00 PM on February 22nd, 2024 at 201 S. Britton St., Council Chambers.   

Proposed Budget and Tax Rate Public Hearings to be Held

The City of Tom Bean is holding two public hearings to receive community input on the City’s budget. All citizens and interested persons are invited to attend and present their views to the City Council. Type B EDC Plans Rock Wall and Fencing for City Park

Tom Bean’s Type B EDC Board of Directors has decided to fund up to $65,000 to build a rock wall around the new City Park. The purpose of the wall is to provide a safety barrier between the children playing at the park and the adjacent traffic.  We have chosen a rock wall due to its durability and cosmetic appeal in addition to adding seating for park patrons. The wall will border the entire south side and roughly half of the west side (south-to-north). To the north, the wall will continue with a short pipe-and-cable fence around a parking area. …
